The convention has a raffle room with over 280 items donated by conventioneers. There are one of a kind items of clothing, furniture and accessories. There are rare dolls with original fashions and dolls with hand crafted styles. As I toured the raffle room, there were many ooooo’s and ahhhhhh’s for some of the items.

The best part of the raffle is that all raffle ticket proceeds are donated to the convention charities – Special Olympics Florida http://specialolympicsflorida.org/duval/, Cathedral Arts Project, Inc. https://capkids.org/

The raffle room in in one of the several medium size ballrooms, which gives you some perspective on the overall size of the facility. Volunteers are extremely helpful and friendly and I’ve met a conventioneer from Sydney Australia who purchased a collector edition doll from me for the charity I participate in, Sharing Connections. www.Sharingconnections.org

Will be attending the “Groovy Gallery Welcome Reception” tonight, at which silent auction and live auction items will be on display. Artists who focus on “Barbie Art” have created these items which can bring in thousands of dollars. Again, the charities benefit from these proceeds.
